Welcome to Diamante Bridge
We connect as bridges, building relationships of respect between diverse people, communities, and cultures. We choose to live in harmony with nature, and we work toward a future where everyone’s needs are met and the prosperity of Earth is endowed for generations to come.
Whether you’re passing through, putting down roots, or building something with us long-term — there’s a place for you here.
You don’t need to be a Member to belong
There are two ways to be part of Diamante Bridge Collective.
The first is simply to show up — at your own pace, with whatever you have to offer. The Community Covenant is the only agreement you need. No formal duties, no obligations beyond how we treat each other and the land.
The second is to step in as a full Member of the Asociación — with voice and vote in governance, institutional backing for your projects, and shared responsibility for DBC’s future.
The next four slides walk through the four stages you can apply for, so you can find where you are right now.
Community
Stage 1 · Way Finder
Access
I am discovering DBC.
Way Finder is the open door. Agree to the Community Covenant and show up — at whatever pace, capacity, or form of care is right for you right now. Attend events, join workdays, participate in what resonates. Your presence and gifts are welcome here, however they come.

- Fill in the Membership Intent Form (select Stage 1)
- Agree to the Community Covenant — a checkbox on this form, there is nothing to sign
Rights
- Welcome at open events, gatherings, and volunteer workdays
- Access to public commons spaces during designated hours

- Optional: sign node agreements for temporary or seasonal stay and begin first steps of stewardship
Responsibilities
- Respect community agreements, land, and cultural practices
- Practice conscious communication and consent
- Follow safety protocols in commons spaces
Governance
No voting rights in the Association.
As a Way Finder, I enter with curiosity and respect. I will listen, learn, and honor the agreements, the community, and the living land as I discover my place within DBC.
Community
Stage 2 · Rooted Ally
Alliance
I stand in relationship with DBC.
Rooted Ally is for people already doing aligned work of their own — a project, an organization, a parallel regenerative practice. You are not primarily contributing to DBC, but our paths cross and our missions resonate. You stay in relationship with DBC, bring your perspective when invited, and share your work through our channels.
Requirements to enter
- Fill in the Membership Intent Form (select Stage 2)
- Agree to the Community Covenant — a checkbox on this form, there is nothing to sign
- Be active as a community steward or in a parallel aligned project or organization
- Be acknowledged by one Active Member
Rights
- All Stage 1 rights
- Advisory voice in governance or project meetings by invitation, on topics of relevant expertise
- Opportunity for a Memorandum of Understanding for deeper alliance
- Platform to share aligned work through DBC communications when relevant
Responsibilities
- Maintain ethical alignment with DBC values in your own work
- Practice open communication about collaboration possibilities
- Honor reciprocity in resource sharing
Governance
No voting rights in the Association. Advisory voice by invitation only.
As a Rooted Ally, I stand in reciprocal relationship with DBC. I will uphold our shared values, communicate openly, and honor reciprocity as our work meets in service to community and land.
Membership
Stage 3 · Apprentice
Voice
I learn by showing up and contributing.
Apprentice is the threshold — a minimum 3-month apprenticeship where you experience DBC governance from the inside, contribute actively month by month, and are welcomed in by the recommendation of two Active Members.
Requirements to enter
- Fill in the Membership Intent Form: mark intent to enter the trial period toward Active Membership
- Agree to the Community Covenant — a checkbox on this form, there is nothing to sign
- Endorse DBC Vision and Values as defined in the Bylaws
- Acknowledge the Eight Stages of Stewardship as framework for growth
- Recommendation by 2 Active Members
Rights
- All Stage 1–2 rights
- Inclusion in internal communication channels
- Voice in Circles, Working Groups, and General Meetings by invitation
- Observer status in General Assembly
Responsibilities
- Regular participation for a minimum of 3 months
- Attend General Assemblies as observer
- Actively participate in at least one Project, Working Group, or Circle, or contribute to DBC-endorsed volunteer activities at least once a month
- Maintain an updated contribution record
Governance
Observer at General or Extraordinary Assemblies: voice but no vote; does not count toward quorum.
As an Apprentice, I learn by showing up. I will listen, contribute, and offer my voice with care. I will keep a living record of my service, and grow through practice with community and land.
Membership
Stage 4 · Fire Tender
Vote
I take responsibility for our shared decisions.
Fire Tender and above is full legal membership in the Asociación Puente Diamante Colectiva — voice and vote in the Assembly, and shared responsibility for where DBC goes next.
Requirements to enter
- Complete a minimum of 3 months as Apprentice
- Recommendation by 2 Active Members
- Board of Directors approval
- Agree to the Community Covenant — a checkbox on this form, there is nothing to sign
- Endorse DBC Vision, Values, and Bylaws
- Participate in at least one General Assembly or Extraordinary Assembly
Rights
- Full voting rights in General Assembly; counts toward quorum
- Voice and vote in Working Groups and Circles of which the person is a member

Responsibilities

- Participate in 4 DBC impact meetings per year
- Attend at least one General Assembly per year, in person or online
- Respond to the annual membership review

Full voice and vote in Assembly. Counts toward quorum.
As a Fire Tender, I accept the responsibility of membership. I will tend our agreements, participate in governance, and carry my share of the work with consistency and care, in service to community and land.
Ready to apply?
This was the overview — the application asks for the details. Way Finder through Fire Tender are open to apply for directly; later stages are earned through standing built over time, not applied for.
Once you submit, a real person reviews it — not an automated system. What that looks like depends on the stage: Way Finder/Rooted Ally moves quickly; Apprentice/Fire Tender follows the process above.
